Choosing a Universal Air Collector Design for a Cylindrical-Shaped Hot-Wire Anemometer

چکیده
Air flow measurement at the outlets of air terminal devices installed in ventilation systems is very difficult. At anemostats, swirl diffusers, grilles, can swirl, contract, or expand sharply, change its direction, etc., which causes great errors. Therefore, it was necessary to develop a universal measuring device that would make possible measure rate with high accuracy. It should consist an collector (for collecting and rectifying flow) sensor for (integral hot-wire anemometer). Several designs have been investigated. The parabolic chosen as rational one. has low aerodynamic resistance good distribution. To reduce influence turbulence swirling, cylindrical stilling channel built-in grille connected collector. Experimental studies on various distribution made obtain refined calibration dependence integral anemometer, being used calculate rate. airflow meter taken into account help correction must be introduced values measured.

Transient thermal response of a hot-wire anemometer
The ability of a thermal anemometry system to accurately measure unsteady fluid velocity depends on the electrical control system as well as the thermal properties of the sensor. The present work is a numerical study of the thermal transient response of a hot-wire. A conventional constant temperature anemometer with an ideal feedback amplifier as well as a pulse width modulated system were used...
متن کاملAn Adaptive Response Compensation Technique for the Constant-Current Hot-Wire Anemometer
An adaptive response compensation technique has been proposed to compensate for the response lag of the constant-current hot-wire anemometer (CCA) by taking advantage of digital signal processing technology. First, we have developed a simple response compensation scheme based on a precise theoretical expression for the frequency response of the CCA (Kaifuku et al. 2010, 2011), and verified its ...
متن کاملinvestigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
Optimization of Single-Sensor Two-State Hot-Wire Anemometer Transmission Bandwidth
Hot-wire anemometric measurements of non-isothermal flows require the use of thermal compensation or correction circuitry. One possible solution is a two-state hot-wire anemometer that uses the cyclically changing heating level of a single sensor. The area in which flow velocity and fluid temperature can be measured is limited by the dimensions of the sensor's active element. The system is desi...
